DAY 1-2: PDL/ TERCEIRA AIRPORT/ TERCEIRA/ EARLY CHECK-IN 

06:10AM – arrival at Ponta Delgada Airport. 

07:25AM – check-in for the domestic flight to Terceira Island.

08:25AM – flight departure.

DAY 3: TERCEIRA

Breakfast in the hotel.

09:00: Departure the hotel towards Monte Brasil, passing by the main touristcs spots classified by UNESCO as Universal Patrimony. Stop at Pico das Cruzinhas belvedere it can be observed the most beautiful view over the city and its surroundings. The tour continues towards to São Sebastião with a visit to the Chapel considered to be one of the most ancient in Azores. Drive to Praia da Vitoria city stoping for a short stroll. 

Lunch in a typical restaurant: Moinhos. 

After lunch, continuing to Serra do Cume, Biscoitos, natural swiming pools. visit (facultative) to Algar do Carvão caves. Return to Angra do Heroísmo.

DAY 4:  TERCEIRA/ FAIAL

Breakfast in the hotel.

07:40AM: Transfer to Terceira Airport.

08:30AM: Check-in for the flight SP630.

09:40AM: Departure to Faial.

10:15AM: Arrival in Faial airport and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 5: FAIAL/ PICO

Breakfast in the hotel.

09:10AM: Transfer to Horta Pier. Ferry trip to Madalena (Pico) – 20m. 

Departure from Hotels in Madalena to Arcos do Cachorro, impressive rock formations the ocean makes an exciting show of sound and colour. Drive on to the area of “Misterios” mystery – amounts of spread lava early volcanic eruptions. Visit São Roque village. Driving along to Lajes (First settlement on the island with many old houses with carved stonework and long balconies. It has a long tradition of (whale hunting), south coast, will make a stop at Lagoa do Capitão. 

Lunch in a local restaurant: Bahia das Lajes. 

After lunch a visit to the whale’s museum (was set in a former of boathouse and is the only one of its kind in Portugal). It contains a collection of scrimshaw pieces, carved in the tooth or bone of the whale, as well as various implements used in primitive fishing) and to “Boca” (The first Azorean whale watching base). After this, the return to the hotel takes place by the south, stopping at Misterio de São João (Extensive fields of lava with pine trees) return to Horta by ferry and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 6:  FAIAL

Breakfast in the hotel.

09:00AM: Departure from hotels in Horta, driving through the magnificent sight to the Harbor and of Pico Island. Espalamaca and center of the island. Arriving to Caldeira, a protected natural area due to its vegetation. Continuing to Capelinhos volcano the participants have the opportunity to know some of its history occurred in 1957 – Visit the Capelinhos Volcano Interpretation Centre. 

Lunch in a local restaurant: Aldina. 

Return to Horta by the South coast to visit the city of Horta.

DAY 7: FAIAL/ SÃO MIGUEL

Breakfast in the hotel.

08:40AM: Transfer to Faial Airport.

09:10AM: Check-in for the flight SP441.

10:40AM: Departure to Ponta Delgada.

11:35AM: Arrival in São Miguel and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 8: SÃO MIGUEL

09:00AM: Departure from Ponta Delgada to Lagoa do Fogo, in Barrosa Mountain, located in the center of the island in a volcano crater. Surrounded by an idyllic landscape, crystal clear waters and a white sand peninsula, the lake rests in a place of great tranquility and beauty. We proceed our trip to the city of Ribeira Grande, the center of the baroque art in S.Miguel. Still in the city, you can enjoy a visit to Liqueurs Ferreira shop, where the Passion fruit Liqueur is the crown jewel. The tour goes on by the north coast with stops at the belvedere of Santa Iria and tea factory of Gorreana, where guests will have the chance to taste the tea. Before arriving in the Parrish of Furnas, we will stop in the belvedere of Pico de Ferro, surrounded by exuberant vegetation. This place provides a dazzling panorama over Furnas. It’s an extravagant atmosphere where the color of the flower mixes with the exuberant vegetation form diverse continents. The ride goes on to Furnas Lake, with the gothic outline of the Chapel Nossa Senhora das Victorias reflected in its limpid waters. The peacefulness of this scenario is contrasted with the shores of the lake, where volcanic fumaroles, used as natural stoves by the naturals to cook the famous cozido (in sealed pots), boil in the ground. 

Once in Furnas Village, the lunch will be served at the restaurant: Tony’s. 

In the afternoon, a visit to Terra Nostra Park will take place. The garden is a perfect example of the English romantic gardens, with green lakes, basalt caves, winding pathways, exotic flowers from all around the world, centenary trees and a swimming pool of thermal waters. The tour continues in the parish of Furnas to the hot springs. It’s an area in the middle of the village with diverse forms of volcanic activity, where water and mud geysers spout and boil. We will return to Ponta Delgada by the southern coast, passing by Vila Franca do Camp, the islands first governmental center.
