Amazing Estonia

7 Days/ 6 Nights
Overnights: Tallinn – Narva – Tartu – Pärnu – Kuressaare – Tallinn

Day 1 – Tallinn
Arrival to Tallinn and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day dedicated to the free visit of Tallinn (optional private guided city tour).

Day 2 – Tallinn – Lahemaa National Park – Rakvere – Narva
Delivery of the car in the morning at the hotel. You’ll drive eastward along the large St. Petersburg Road heading to Narva. Along the way you have the possibility to visit the Lahemaa National Park (rich in unforgettable landscapes, old fishermen’s villages and historical manor houses) and the town of Rakvere with the Medieval Castle, nowadays an interesting and interactive museum. Arrival to Narva, border town to the Russian Federation. From the top of its castle you can enjoy a view to the other side of the border.

Day 3 – Narva – Lake Peipsi – Tartu
Drive from Narva to Tartu along the Lake Peipsi which separates Estonia from Russia. This area is still untouched by the tourism. You will drive through the fishermen’s villages which are known as the poorest villages in Estonia (Kolkja, Kasepää, Varnja). Here almost 100% of the population is of Russian origin. Arriving to Tartu you will need about 2 hours to visit the nice and quite old town and the second city of Estonia and main university centre of the country.

Day 4 – Tartu – Otepää – Viljandi – Soomaa – Pärnu
Leave Tartu in the morning and drive southwards to the Estonian „mountains” in Otepää (about 250 m. of high). Continue through the historical town of Viliandi with the ruins of a medieval fortress and, if the weather permits, visit the area of Soomaa, where you can enjoy a very pleasant walk on a naturalistic track. Arrival to Pärnu, Summer capital of Estonia with its wide sandy beaches and a charming and picturesque old town.

Day 5 – Pärnu – Kuressaare (Saaremaa Island)
When the sun is shining you can decide to spend some time in the morning on Pärnu’s beach. Then you will drive to Saaremaa Island, the biggest of the over 1200 islands in Estonia. The ferry will take you in about 30′ from the inland to the small island of Muhu and from here you will drive to Kuressaare, the island’s capital. We suggest you to visit the historical old town and the medieval castle.

Day 6 – Kuressaare – Haapsalu – Tallinn
Saaremaa is a perfect place to discover by car. Take as much time as you can to drive along the coast and see those beautiful sceneries like Panga Cliffs. You will also see the rests of the Soviet military base and the lighthouses. Don’t miss also the lake on a meteorite crater. Returning to the inland you can make a stop in Haapsalu, popular spa resort with Tschaikovski’s bench, dedicated to the famous composer. Arrival to Tallinn in the late afternoon and drop off of the car at the hotel.

Day 7 – Tallinn
Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to Tallinn’s airport.
